AUSTIN (KXAN) — The weekend was hazy, hot, and humid, and this active weather pattern is forecast to last through the workweek.
Tonight, temperatures cool to the 70s with increasing clouds. A few areas of light mist/sprinkles are possible early tomorrow morning.
Hot & Humid
High temperatures on Monday will climb back into the 90s, with heat indices flirting with triple-digits (especially in our eastern counties).
Warming temps in the 90s with humidity
Isolated Storm Pattern
This “hit-or-miss” storm pattern sticks around through the middle of the week. If the cap holds, which it has for several afternoons now, tomorrow afternoon will be partly sunny and dry. If the cap weakens, a thunderstorm could fire up late.
Conditional storm chances depending on the cap
On Tuesday, the Storm Prediction Center has issued a level 1/5 (Marginal) severe risk for parts of Central Texas. Large hail and damaging winds are possible.

Front?
There’s increasing confidence for a strong cold front arriving late this week, bringing much-cooler temperatures next weekend. Rain chances continue through Saturday.
